Click on the button below to download the most recent timetable.

All Timetables are subject to change due to enrolment numbers. Timetables will be confirmed after registration day. Please use them only as a guide for now. Please note that stretch classes are scheduled for terms 1 & 2 only. These times will be used for team practice in terms 3 & 4 for selected age groups.

EXTRA LESSONS

If your child is selected to represent our club at the team competitions, there may be some extra team practices closer to the competition. We will try to accommodate your requests and give you plenty of notice for these class times.

In August and September private lessons are offered to those who wish to get in a little extra practice before competitions. Schedules will be circulated to allow you to select lesson times with the teacher of your choice. Lessons are limited in number and our priority is to ensure that there is equity of access to these lessons.

PRACTICE AT HOME

Each year in June, BJP produces a professional video with all ages' syllabus for the year. This is an invaluable tool and we recommend you download the video and music files so that you can make the most of them to improve at home. These resources are FREE each year when you register with BJP.

We also encourage our students to stretch at home. Students are usually amazed at just how quickly their flexibility improves when they regularly do some stretching at home.

LEOTARDS & GROOMING

STUDENT ATTIRE

The club has a range of uniform options.

Please note that uniform for class is COMPULSORY and should be worn to all lessons. Uniforms also show pride and commitment to one's club and its teachers.

Please DO NOT wear other dance studio uniforms to our classes, you don't wear our uniform to theirs. Please show us the same respect.

It is important for students to dress appropriately for lessons to ensure the teachers can see the correct body and muscle alignments throughout their routines, this is to ensure correct development of posture and technique. Uniform needs to be fitted, please don’t purchase club merchandise too big.

Uniforms for class can consist of:

  • A leotard

  • Jazz shorts

  • Tights

  • Crop top

  • Racer back top

Baseball tops are more for competition or wearing over the top of other tops/shorts on the way to and from class for coverage and modesty.

Hair must be pulled up into a neat and tidy ponytail or alternative hair style. Shorter styles that cannot be pulled up should have front pinned back off face. NO HAIR IS TO BE WORN DOWN.

Appropriate personal grooming is all part of dance and an expected requirement each week. Students should learn to take care in their appearance and take pride in correct personal grooming. This along with dance technique is a skill all students should be learning as part of their involvement in our club environment.

If your child continually turns up ungroomed or not in uniform a notice will be sent home.

CLUB MERCHANDISE

Our club has  watermelon and black as club colours. Members are encouraged to support the club at competitions by wearing our club colours.

There are a number of items available for purchase from the club including: club jackets, shirts, singlets, t-shirts, crop tops, 3/4 tights, full length tights, and shorts.  Please visit our online shop to purchase your club uniform.
